More Americans say they like Obamacare than dislike it, according to a new Kaiser Health Tracking Poll released Tuesday which finds the law gaining in popularity.
The survey finds that 43 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the health care law, while 42 percent have an unfavorable view. It is the first time since a very brief period in 2012 that the law had more backers than detractors.
As the chart shows, Obamacare has consistently struggled in the polls and found more opponents than supporters for the vast majority of the five years since it was enacted. But it has been picking up support gradually since last fall.
The one percent differential in the new poll is within the margin or error.
