With former President Trump’s bid to block a Jan. 6 Committee subpoena dispatched at the district level, he’s now trying to win the case on appeal.

Trump is aiming for either the D.C. Circuit or the Supreme Court to rescue his effort to block the investigation. It’s likely that we’ll have a good idea over the coming week of how the case will play out.

But first he needs to stop the National Archives from complying with its Friday deadline to turn over documents pursuant to the subpoena, otherwise his case will be moot.
