Pelosi officially kicks it off: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) officially directed Chairmen Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Jerry Nadler (D-NY) to pursue articles of impeachment against President Trump on Thursday. The momentous announcement was nearly overshadowed by an altercation Pelosi had with a reporter, in which she gave a heated condemnation of him questioning whether she has a hatred for Trump that’s fueling her push for impeachment. In a headline that will likely be remembered for years, the first female House speaker shot down the assertion: “Don’t mess with me.”
