Why It Matters Pelosi Was Finally Allowed To Call Trump’s Tweets ‘Racist’

Yesterday’s House vote on a resolution to condemn President Donald Trump’s tweets spun into chaos that lasted for over an hour after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) described the tweets as “racist.”

As it turns out, calling the President (or the President-elect)’s actions racist is against House floor rules. To explain why, we have to go back two centuries.
