The White House is forming a council of scientists to counter the government’s consensus on the causes and effects of climate change, according to a Sunday Washington Post report.

The group would consist of scientists who doubt the severity of the problem and that humans are the main contributors.

The council will reportedly not be held to the transparency standards the Federal Advisory Committee Act dictates since it is not a formal organization.
