New White House strategy: Ignore Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) until he goes away.
During an interview with Fox News on Friday, White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told the network the White House will “not deal” with Nadler and his committee’s subpoena for the full unredacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
“Look, we’re not going to deal with Jerry Nadler in that manner,” he said. “We have already cooperated so much with House Democrats and we will continue to do so, but the fact is this is just more political grandstanding by someone who has nothing to run on, nothing to talk about, other than trying to attack a man, who has now been proven completely innocent of any crime.”
Gidley claimed that Nadler and other Democrats want to “go after” President Trump because they don’t want to admit to their own agenda. He said even if they handed over an unredacted report and unredated tax returns, Nadler would “still want something else.”
