Moore has frequently found himself in the spotlight lately, and not in a good way. Economists of all stripes bashed him as comically under-qualified for the position, and many see him as a Trump toady being considered for the position more due to his loyalty than his chops.
Moore’s fellow potential nominee, Herman Cain, is not faring much better. Multiple Senate Republicans said that they would not support his nomination Thursday, raising expectations that Cain will withdraw his name from consideration.
