The world of Fox News is doubling up on its dose of primetime host Tucker Carlson.
Fox News announced Wednesday that Carlson is set to develop two new video projects for the channel’s Fox Nation streaming service.
Carlson is set to host a video podcast for Fox Nation as well as a series of “in-depth specials” called “Tucker Carlson Originals.” Carlson will host both programs alongside his 8 p.m. time slot on Fox News.
The longtime controversial host will release at least three new video podcast episodes a week starting in April as well, which will feature “interviews with newsmakers, as well as a discussion of the issues shaping the country.” The “Tucker Carlson Originals” series will also debut in April, with new episodes released monthly.
The programming of Carlson’s new ventures will be produced by the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” team.
Carlson celebrated his new projects on Fox Nation by issuing a statement nodding to former President Trump’s laughable complaints about “cancel culture.”
“This is my twelfth year at FOX News and I’ve never been more grateful to be here,” Carlson said. “As other media outlets fall silent or fall in line, FOX News Media’s management has redoubled its commitment to honesty and freedom of speech. I consider that heroic at a time like this.”
Carlson has repeatedly received backlash for racist and inflammatory language used on his show against women, immigrants and Democrats to name a few. Most recently he suggested it was “probably illegal” for President Biden to consider black women as a running mate and earlier this year he took a convenient, “long planned” vacation after it was revealed one of the top writers on his show was secretly posting incredibly racist and sexists comments online.
