It’ll be an interesting week for President Trump to be at the center of the global stage.
As Trump heads into three jam-packed days of bilateral meetings with world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, he’s expected to face questions about new allegations that during a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky he pressured the government to dig up dirt on one of his political opponents, according to the Associated Press.
Trump is scheduled to meet with Zelensky on Wednesday. The meeting will now face more scrutiny as Congress continues its back-and-forth with the White House and the director of national intelligence over the contents of a whistleblower complaint that a member of the intelligence community filed last month.
Just a day before his meeting with Zelensky, Trump will deliver his annual address to the General Assembly. He’s expected to talk about America’s sovereignty and independence, aides told the AP.
