President Trump on Tuesday continued airing his grievances against the HHS inspector general, who authored a new report finding “severe” shortages of testing supplies.

During the White House coronavirus task force briefing Monday evening, Trump grew increasingly exasperated as reporters pressed him about the testing shortages mentioned in the HHS inspector general’s report.

Trump then took aim at the the author of the report, HHS principal deputy inspector general Christi Grimm, by falsely accusing her of being an Obama administration holdover.

The next day, the President continued griping about her time in the Obama administration in a Tuesday tweet.

Grimm, who is a career official, began working at the inspector general’s office in 1999 during the Clinton administration. She would later work for both the Bush and Obama administrations.
