President Donald Trump gave his first public indication that he may run for office again in 2024 on Tuesday night.

“It’s been an amazing four years. We are trying to do another four years. Otherwise, I’ll see you in four years,” he said during a holiday party with Republican National Committee (RNC) members at the White House, per Politico and CNN.

Prior to Trump’s remarks, a handful of outlets had reported that the President was privately discussing a potential 2024 bid with advisers.

According to NBC News, Trump is considering announcing a campaign on the day of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, which the current President reportedly intends to skip.

Talk of Trump running in the next presidential election cycle has arisen in the midst of the President’s crusade to undermine the 2020 election results that decisively led to his defeat, which he falsely attributes to mass voter fraud.
