While firing off his usual complaints about the media late Sunday night, President Donald Trump made an eyebrow-raising statement about news outlets that provide negative coverage of him.

“I watch and listen to the Fake News, CNN, MSDNC, ABC, NBC, CBS, some of FOX (desperately & foolishly pleading to be politically correct), the
@nytimes, & the @washingtonpost, and all I see is hatred of me at any cost,” Trump tweeted. “Don’t they understand that they are destroying themselves?”

It’s unclear what exactly the President was implying with the phrase “destroying themselves.” However, his comment could be seen as a threat given his previous vow to “destroy” Comcast’s “image” because it owns MSNBC (which Trump likes to refer to as “MSDNC”).

“Comcast, which owns NBC—actually NBC, I think, we call it MSDNC, right? MSDNC. But NBC I think is worse than CNN. I actually do,” Trump ranted during a campaign rally in South Carolina on February 28.

“And Comcast, a company that spends millions and millions of dollars on their image, I’ll do everything possible to destroy their image because they are terrible,” he added.
