President Donald Trump, never one to let a trifling thing like death end a grudge, spent time lobbing criticisms at the late Sen. John McCain Thursday morning before leaving for his Colorado trip.
“I was very angry with John McCain because he killed health care,” Trump said when a reporter asked about the White House hiding a ship in Japan named for McCain and his relatives. “I was not a big fan of John McCain in any way, shape or form.”
“To me, John McCain — I wasn’t a fan, but I would never do a thing like that,” he added. “Now, somebody did it because they thought I didn’t like him. They were well-meaning, I will say.”

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that the White House asked the Navy to hide a ship bearing the McCain family name from view before his trip. Trump claims to have been ignorant of the directive.
