President Trump used his Twitter platform to propel a peculiar conspiracy theory about the first lady using a body double during the couple’s visit to the Alabama town devastated by tornados earlier this month.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Trump suggested the “Fake News” tampered with photos of Melania Trump and “propelled conspiracy theories” that she has a body double.
The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places. They are only getting more deranged with time!

“Fake Melania” was trending on Twitter during the President’s visit to Alabama over the weekend as users posted photos of the first lady, claiming that she looked shorter than her usual height (she had on tennis shoes instead of heels) or that her face, hidden by sunglasses, looked like a different person.
Trump was accused of using a fake Melania to stand with him.
Definitely looks suspicious, what do you all think? pic.twitter.com/5dhUnDuGfp

There’s been no reason to give any credence to the conspiracy theory, which Trump perpetuated by suggesting the media were behind it.
