President Donald Trump signaled on Sunday that he will bar Mary Trump, who is the daughter of his eldest brother Fred Trump Jr., from publishing her tell-all book about him and the rest of the family titled “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.”
“She’s not allowed to write a book,” Trump said during an interview with Axios.
The President claimed his niece, who is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr., had signed a “very powerful” NDA that “covers everything” after her and her brother’s court battle with the rest of the family over Fred Trump Sr.’s will in the early 2000s.
“She’s obviously not honoring [the NDA] if she writes a book,” Trump said. “It’s too bad.”
His remarks indicate that he may take legal action against Mary before the book publishes on July 28 by claiming she had violated her NDA, as the Daily Beast reported last week.
The book’s page on Amazon promises to detail “the dark history” of the Trump family “in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security, and social fabric.”
Mary Trump reportedly played a crucial role in helping the New York Times expose on her uncle’s tax-dodging schemes by providing the outlet with the family’s financial records that she had obtained in the lawsuit.
