The Trump campaign filed a lawsuit Wednesday attempting to stop the vote counting in Michigan, claiming it did not have access to the sites where the ballots are being tallied.
As President Donald Trump has slipped behind former Vice President Joe Biden in key states, he has responded by trying to stop the count in Michigan and Pennsylvania, and by requesting a recount in Wisconsin.
The lawsuit asks specifically that the counting of absentee ballots — which lean towards Biden — be halted while the campaign’s qualms about the observation procedures are heard. It targets absentee ballots submitted via drop box, claiming that election procedures had been violated because a poll worker was not allowed to watch video surveillance of those ballots being submitted.
Shortly after the lawsuit made it to the Michigan court’s docket, several networks announced that they were projecting Biden to win the state.
