Though you may not know if from his rhetoric, President Donald Trump and his administration are actually working to increase some forms of legal immigration, a move that business owners generally welcome with open arms.
According to a Wednesday Politico report, Kushner has already bumped up against senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, who is very hawkish on immigration and would have to sign off on a plan before it gets to Trump.
Some of Trump’s allies worry that the President will be swayed by Kushner’s more moderate stance on immigration and fail to throw some anti-immigrant red meat to his base which hungers for a much less porous border.
