President Trump’s increasing vexation toward his favorite cable news network reached a new height over the weekend when he expressed genuine disbelief over Fox News’ latest poll, which featured him losing by head-to-head match up against four top Democrats.
While speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump said “I don’t know what’s happening with Fox,” when asked about the poll and said he didn’t “believe” them.
“Fox is different, there’s no question about it,” he said, before adding he’s the one “calling the shots” on whether there’d be general election debates, according to a transcript of the remarks.
The Fox News poll, which was released Thursday, showed Trump losing to top candidates like Sens. Bernie Sanders (D-VT), Kamala Harris (D-CA), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and former Vice President Joe Biden. As a longtime Fox News supporter, the honeymoon between the President and his once-favorite network has started to fade in recent months as Fox releases its own polling highlighting the President’s 2020 chances and his approval ratings.
