President Donald Trump on Tuesday faulted Fox News — “and the ‘audience,'” he said, using scare quotes — for being “so smiley and nice” with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) during a town hall the network aired Monday night with the Democratic presidential contender.
Trump also noted that Fox News recently hired former DNC chair Donna Brazile as a contributor.
So weird to watch Crazy Bernie on @FoxNews. Not surprisingly, @BretBaier and the “audience” was so smiley and nice. Very strange, and now we have @donnabrazile?

Bret Baier, who co-moderated the Sanders town hall alongside Martha MacCallum, responded diplomatically.
Thanks for watching Mr. President – we’d love to have you on a town hall soon — or even an interview on @SpecialReport —it’s been awhile. We cover all sides. https://t.co/1EDeWFhNe7

It’s understandable that Trump’s upset about the town hall on what might otherwise be considered his “home turf.” The event went pretty well for Sanders:
