President Donald Trump hit back at Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) on Sunday morning for his “impeachable conduct” remark, saying the GOP lawmaker is a “total lightweight” and a “loser.”
“Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy,” Trump tweeted. “Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents [sic] hands!”
….he would see that it was nevertheless strong on NO COLLUSION and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION…Anyway, how do you Obstruct when there is no crime and, in fact, the crimes were committed by the other side? Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!

POTUS was likely responding to Amash’s Twitter screed, during which he accused Trump of engaging in “impeachable conduct.”
It’s not the first time Amash has stepped out of party lines to criticize Trump. He called Trump’s Obamacare repeal bill a “disaster,” and he called for an independent commission to investigate Trump’s firing of FBI director James Comey.
“I ran on a set of principles, and it doesn’t really matter which party is in charge or who the president is; I’m going to stick by my principles,” Amash told HuffPo in December 2016.
