In an oddly sensual opening monologue that was apparently supposed to be sarcastic, Fox News host Tucker Carlson chided the media for its obsession with Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, comparing the 37-year-old to a bowl of soup journalists want to “consume.”

Not chowder or bisque or broth, but a “hearty stew.”
