The new White House press secretary physically shoved herself between the press and North Korean guards to let reporters to get access to President Trump and North Korean regime leader Kim Jong-un.
Less than a week into her new gig, Stephanie Grisham reportedly sustained bruises from the encounter, which CNN reporter Jim Acosta described as an “all out brawl.” CNN’s footage of the encounter shows Grisham stepping between the guards and members of the media to allow reporters to get through to the Trump-Kim meeting.

Reporters and Trump supporters alike praised Grisham for the move, but some have expressed skepticism about Grisham’s motives.
“Was she doing that for the press or was she doing that for the President?” CNN’s Brian Stelter questioned on Sunday. “I assume the main motive there was making sure the press was able to chronicle a moment.”
Trump made history on Sunday when he became the first sitting U.S. president to cross through the demilitarized zone and stand on North Korean soil.
