House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has hired Daniel Goldman, a former assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York with experience fighting Russian organized crime, to lead the investigation against the Trump administration.
According to a Tuesday New Yorker report, the hire underscores the aggression with which Schiff intends to tackle the question of if Trump or those in his orbit colluded with Russia.
The news is just the latest foreboding development for Trump from the Democrat-controlled House, coming on the heels of House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) dropping an 81-name list of people the committee is looking into as part of its Trump investigation.
