House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Wednesday that President Donald Trump would not necessarily be out of the woods should Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report not contain conclusive evidence of collusion with Russians.
“There may be grounds for removal of office or grounds for indictment after he leaves office if the Congress discovers one of the things that the Mueller report may not cover, whether the Russians were laundering money for the Trump Organization,” Schiff said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“Our prominent concern on my committee is was this President, is this President, compromised by a foreign power?” he added.
