Now that she’s left the White House, former press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is planning to write an insider account of her time there.
According to Axios, she also plans to embark on a speaking tour as she tests the water for a gubernatorial run in 2022.
Sanders’ departure was blighted by controversy after some in the White House press corps — who she had frequently insulted and undermined by using President Donald Trump’s favorite “fake news” smear — threw a going-away party for her. Nevertheless, Sanders tweeted that she left the premises for the last time with her “head held high.”
Today I’ll walk out the gates of the White House for the last time as Press Secretary with my head held high. It’s been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to work with President @realDonaldTrump and his amazing team the last three and a half years. You’re the best…Thank you! pic.twitter.com/6H0uyMRtFX

She has been replaced by Stephanie Grisham, formerly first lady Melania Trump’s spokeswoman.
