Rep. Jim Renacci (R-OH) critiqued the length of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation Tuesday, claiming that some of the time, Mueller has been straying from the topic for which he was appointed.

“I think if Robert Mueller had already found collusion, this investigation would have wrapped up very quickly,” Renacci told CNN’s John Berman. “We are looking at all kinds of pieces outside of the specific job that he was really hired to come on board for, which was to see if there was collusion, see if there was an issue.”

Renacci joins many Republicans in calling for Mueller to “wrap up” his investigation, though the Trump-Russia probe has been relatively short compared to other comparable major investigations throughout American history.
