Robert Keith Packer, the man who was seen wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with “Camp Auschwitz” among the mob of Trump supporters who violently attacked the Capitol last week, was arrested by the FBI on Wednesday morning.
Packer has been charged with “Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority” and “Violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds,” according to the arrest warrant.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 12:30 PM ET in Norfolk, Virginia.
The shirt refers to Nazi Germany’s Auschwitz concentration camp, where approximately 1.1 million people died during the Holocaust.
Packer was first identified by CNN prior to his arrest.
He was one of several insurrectionists who flaunted hate symbols as they stormed the Capitol at President Donald Trump’s encouragement on January 6.
One man, who has yet to be identified, strolled through the building while waving a Confederate flag.
