The House Intelligence Committee is seeking to interview and procure information from a key organizer of Trump’s 2017 inaugural celebration, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

The committee reportedly sent Melania Trump associate Stephanie Winston Wolkoff a letter on March 19, asking her for an interview and for any information regarding efforts by foreign entities to give gifts to Trump and his family, as well as records relating to the inaugural committee’s donors, according to the Journal.

The House Intelligence Committee also reportedly asked Wolkoff for any information relating to contacts between the inaugural and the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.

The newspaper also reports that a Manhattan federal grand jury subpoenaed Wolkoff in October 2018, suggesting the investigation had progressed further than previously known.

Wolkoff worked in the White House with Melania Trump until the inaugural committee’s tax filing revealed that a company she formed weeks before the inaugural was the event’s largest vendor, at $25 million.

The Trump inaugural broke records by raising $107 million, nearly double the amount raised by any other recent inaugural committee.

A spokesman for the House Intelligence Committee declined to comment. An inaugural committee spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.
