It seems everyone is launching a podcast these days. So why not the former vice president?

Former Vice President Mike Pence is expected to launch a video podcast in the coming months, according to a news release.

Politco was the first to report that Pence will partner with the Young America’s Foundation as the group’s first Ronald Reagan presidential scholar to debut the podcast, while also joining the conservative youth organization’s cohort of campus lecturers and publish monthly opinions on the conservative movement.

In the release announcing the partnership, former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is the organization’s president, lauded Pence as “a stalwart defender of individual freedom, traditional values, free markets, and limited government throughout his career of distinguished service to our country.”

Walker indicated that one of the group’s hopes was for Pence to “continue to attract new hearts and minds to the conservative cause.”

The news of Pence’s new post comes after the vice president departed the White House on rocky turf with his former governing partner, Donald Trump, who attacked Pence in the days leading up to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6  that culminated in a swarm of the ex-president’s supporters storming the Capitol in a deadly riot, some of them chanting, “Hang Mike Pence.”

On Thursday, the Heritage Foundation, another conservative institution, announced that Pence would become one of its distinguished visiting fellows focused on public policy. He is also expected to write a monthly column for the conservative think tank’s publication.

Pence’s upcoming podcast stint follows a history as a conservative radio personality in the ’90s on “The Mike Pence Show” before launching his political career.

Pence is also said to be mulling a future presidential bid in 2024.
