Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Tuesday morning completely ignored the fact that President Trump and several of his cabinet members attended Ivy League schools when he attempted to mock members of President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming administration.
Biden’s cabinet picks went to Ivy League schools, have strong resumes, attend all the right conferences & will be polite & orderly caretakers of America’s decline
I support American greatness
And I have no interest in returning to the “normal” that left us dependent on China

Rubio appeared to have taken a cue from President Trump, who attempted to paint himself as a populist as he tried to go after Biden during their first presidential debate in late September.
During the first presidential debate, Trump regurgitated a debunked right-wing attack about Biden forgetting the name of his college as he sneered: “Did you use the word smart?”
“You graduated either the lowest or almost the lowest in your class,” Trump added, while leaning over his podium towards Biden while his Democratic rival chuckled.
Trump inherited millions from his father and attended an Ivy League school. Biden has working-class roots, and has long touted his early distinction as ranking among the poorest in Congress.
In short order, Rubio was roasted for his misguided tweet:
Six of President Trump's cabinet members went to Ivy League schools.
Jared Kushner's father donated $2.5 million to Harvard to help his son get into the university. https://t.co/86BtOAXWPZ

Of course @marcorubio ignores Linda Thomas-Greenfield (LSU and Wisconsin).
I wonder why. https://t.co/9hT4ElP8SU

Don’t be jealous. You can try to get into an Ivy League school and go back to college for another degree, you abbreviated, infected dimple on the ass of competence.

You know what made America great? Sending taxpayer-paid staff in taxpayer-paid vehicles to Ritz Carltons to buy speciality moisturizers for you. THAT's what made America great. Biden's team may have fancy-pants educations, but look at their dry skin! https://t.co/WChDQx5NuL https://t.co/1en341N1V7

YES. I want a Cabinet who attends the WRONG conferences. A Secretary of State who goes to a trade show for speedboats. An Attorney General who shows up at a Scrabble tournament https://t.co/RM6a9jivne

Donald trumps cabinet had a combined net worth of 3.2 billion dollars. https://t.co/uDNOZX2Fd1

Yeah, Trump totally didn’t have any Ivy League grads in his White House or his Cabinet ….. oh wait https://t.co/vhupS3RiSg
— Bradley P. Moss (@BradMossEsq) November 24, 2020
This is awkward because Marco Rubio's chief of staff @MikeNeedham attended @WilliamsCollege and @Stanford
I bet he went to some conferences too. https://t.co/cjkVJPE6L0
