Donald Trump continued his humble streak on Tuesday, breaking a rare fifteen-hour silence on Twitter with a flurry of posts applauding his second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses.
The usually braggadocious GOP mogul called his experience in the Hawkeye State “great,” a day after saying he was “honored” to finish in second after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) during his concession speech.
My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn’t do well there and ended up in 2nd place. Nice

Even as he expressed pride in his results, Trump excused his loss by saying he did not spend as much time in Iowa as his presidential rivals Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who came in third. He accused the media of devoting insufficient attention to his “long-shot great finish” in the state.

With his loss in Iowa, the real estate mogul is heading to New Hampshire to try to secure support ahead of Tuesday’s primary.
