Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted Tuesday that his campaign had “absolutely nothing” to do with a fake Facebook page for Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) that claimed he was endorsing Cruz over rival Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).

The fake Gowdy page posted that the representative was rescinding his endorsement of Rubio after his performance at the South Carolina GOP debate revealed his “total lack of integrity, intillect (sic) and foresight.”
Here’s the full Facebook post, which has since been removed:
Gowdy released a statement through the Rubio campaign stating that the Facebook page was fake and was made “to fool South Carolinians into thinking that I no longer support Marco Rubio.”
“Nothing could be further from the truth and I’m demanding that Senator Cruz and his campaign repudiate these dishonest and underhanded tactics,” Gowdy said in his statement, according to the Daily Caller.
