Biden Regrets ‘Every Day’ Not Running For Presidency (VIDEO)

Vice President Joe Biden told a NBC affiliate station in an interview published Wednesday that he regrets “every day” not running for President.

“I regret it every day, but it was the right decision for my family and for me,” Biden said in an interview with the Hartford, Connecticut television affiliate. “And I plan on staying involved.”

Biden announced in October he would not run for the presidency for the third time. Many thought Biden would run until his son Beau died from brain cancer in May.

He said thus far the presidential election hasn’t been “very illuminating” and called comments from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Donald Trump “so inconsistent.”

Biden said it’s “not a bunch of serendipity out there,” but the Democratic candidates have had “real robust debate.”

“On the Democratic side it’s what I expected, there is real robust debate between Hillary and Bernie as there would have been if I had gotten in the race,” he said. “There have been no personal attacks that I’m aware of or of any consequence. It’s not a bunch of serendipity out there.”

Biden said the Democrats have “two good candidates.” No word on which candidate isn’t included in that list.
