ISIS Claims American Hostage Killed In Jordanian Airstrikes

The Islamic State is claiming that Jordanian airstrikes against it killed an American hostage, a woman, being held by the terrorist group, according to multiple reports.

The existence of another American hostage, an unnamed aid worker, has been known for a while and was publicized again when ISIS began killing American journalists held hostage last year. The SITE translation of the ISIS announcement identifies the hostage, but news outlets have not confirmed or disclosed her identity.

Jordan launched the airstrikes in retaliation for the ISIS killing of a Jordanian military pilot.
