Fox News channel has an eighth podium waiting in the wings for tonight’s Republican presidential – just in case frontrunner Donald Trump decides to show up.

Trump is scheduled to host a rival event at Duke University, just across town from the debate in Des Moines, which he planned after announcing he would boycott the Fox News debate.

“We don’t know what the percentage is that he may actually show up before 9 p.m. eastern time, but we’re prepared,” Fox News’ Bret Baier said Thursday night.
