Clinton Concedes NH Loss But Says ‘We’re Going To Win The Nomination’

Hillary Clinton congratulated Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on his win in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary but vowed to fight for every vote in the rest of the country in order to win the Democratic presidential nomination and the 2016 election.

Clinton took the stage after calling Sanders to concede and tweeting her congratulations.

She said that she was “very grateful” to the thousands of volunteers in New Hampshire who vouched for her and to those who donated to her campaign. Clinton said the “vast majority” of those donors gave less than $100.

“I know that doesn’t fit with the narrative,” she said. “I know there are those who want to deny the passion and the purpose you all show every day for this campaign, but you are the reason we are here and you are the reason we are going to win the nomination and then win this election together.”

Clinton emphasized that she would be an advocate for young people, who she said she knows “I have some work to do” to win over.

“Now we take this campaign to the entire country,” Clinton said. “We’re going to fight for every vote in every state. We’re going to fight for real solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives.”
