Christie Spends Super Bowl Sunday In Europe Watching Soccer

Noted Dallas Cowboys fan Chris Christie had no dog in Sunday’s Super Bowl fight, so he spent his day at an English Premier League soccer match instead.

Arsenal put up Christie, who is on a three-day trade mission to London, at Emirates Stadium for its match against Aston Villa, according to the Associated Press. Christie aides said he’d reimburse the team.

“Game was great,” Christie said afterward, as quoted by the AP. “We got five goals in one game – highly unusual – so it was good.”

He said he did catch the all-important American football game later at a British pub, though:
