Television personality Bryant Gumbel excoriated the National Rifle Association in a Rolling Stone interview published online Tuesday, saying there are “few things I hate more than the NRA.”
Gumbel made the remarks while discussing a segment that ran on his HBO show “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” in October about people who only eat meat that they hunt themselves.
Referring to the NRA, he told Rolling Stone: “I think they’re pigs. I think they don’t care about human life. I think they are a curse upon the American landscape. So we got that on the record.”
He said that the segment on his show was “my first experience around killing and guns and hunting.”
