Small Business Administration chief Linda McMahon, one of the least scandal-ridden members of President Donald Trump’s tumultuous cabinet, will reportedly step down as soon as Friday.
According to a Politico report, she plans to return to the private sector. Her bowing out clears the way for acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to shoot for the Commerce Secretary job once Wilbur Ross retires — McMahon was also once seen as a viable candidate.
McMahon was reportedly seen as a low-drama loyal Trump acolyte. Her departure would mean that Trump’s cabinet is down to four women.
