After a lawsuit filed against the Drug Enforcement Agency for three years of foot-dragging, the Justice Department will finally move ahead in expanding marijuana research.
According to the Wall Street Journal, officials started accepting applications from researchers to grow and study the drug under the Obama administration, though the process slowed under the virulently anti-marijuana Jeff Sessions.
The Justice Department said it would unveil new regulations to control the growers before accepting any of the applications, causing some to predict more foot dragging.
