The ever-colorful Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) called “the squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — the “four horsewomen of the Apocalypse” Tuesday night, adding that “they’re the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle.”
“The simple fact of the matter is that the four congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins, they think that America and its people are even more wicked now, that we are all racist and misogynistic and evil,” Kennedy told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
“They’re entitled to their opinion, they’re Americans,” he continued. “But I’m entitled to my opinion, and I just think they’re left-wing cranks and they’re the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle. I think we should ignore them.”

Kennedy was reacting to the now days-long controversy swirling around President Donald Trump’s tweets telling the congresswomen — all of whom are American citizens — to “go back” where they came from. The House voted largely along party lines to condemn the President for the same comments Tuesday night.
