Fox News host Jeanine Pirro’s scheduled Friday return to the network was postponed due to an unspecified family emergency.

Pirro was supposed to appear on Sean Hannity’s program after her weekly show was bumped two weeks in a row over her Islamophobic comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Pirro questioned how Omar could be loyal to America since she chooses to wear the hijab, which the Fox host called “antithetical to the United States Constitution.” The network condemned her comments but never explicitly suspended her.

Hannity said in his Friday show that he unexpectedly had to cancel his plans to chat with Pirro.

“She had a really serious family emergency come up, couldn’t be with us,” Hannity said. “I don’t know the nature of it. We always pray for her.”

President Trump, a longtime personal friend of Pirro’s, has lobbied for her return to the show, saying Fox should “stop working soooo hard on being politically correct.”
