Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) said Sunday that he would vote for another term for President Donald Trump, or whoever gets the Republican nomination, even if his friend, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, runs for and wins the Democratic primary.
“Unless Beto O’Rourke decides to run as a Republican, which I don’t think he’s planning on doing,” Hurd told CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Hurd has been critical of Trump at times, and an hours-long, livestreamed road trip he took with O’Rourke from San Antonio to Washington, D.C. in 2017 raised the profiles of both congressmen.
