Reliably pro-Trump Fox News host Laura Ingraham had some heartbreaking news for her audience: Elections are real, and so was President Donald Trump’s defeat.
“As unpleasant and disappointing as these past three weeks have been to so many of us, as much as we wish things were different, this is where things stand tonight,” Ingraham lamented after Trump affirmed the General Services Administration’s decision to allow President-elect Joe Biden to begin transitioning.
“Unless the legal situation changes in a dramatic and frankly in an unlikely manner, Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20th,” Ingraham said.
Insisted that she wasn’t being a “sellout” in the conservative movement, the Fox News host pointed out the clear unlikelihood that Trump’s flimsy legal challenges against the election outcome would go anywhere.
“To say this constitutes living in reality,” she said. “And if I offered you a false reality, if I told you there was an excellent, phenomenal chance that the Supreme Court was going to step in and deliver a victory to President Trump, I’d be lying to you.”
