Though typically not one to shy away from a good conspiracy, former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani urged followers to pump the breaks on theories surrounding accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s death.
In a tweet on Monday, Giuliani gave a nod to the theories surrounding Epstein’s death, which is believed to have been a suicide, by suggesting they were “multiplying,” but he urged followers to wait for “key facts” like the results of the autopsy, before reaching conclusions. The New York City medical examiner announced Sunday she needed more information before she could make a determination.
The conspiracy theories concerning the Epstein death are multiplying. The facts seem unbelievable. But it is best to wait for some key facts like the findings of the autopsy. Withholding judgement is the wisest course to follow. DOJ is very motivated to get to the bottom of it.

But President Trump has already gone all-in on some of the most disturbing, baseless allegations being shared on social media. Over the weekend, Trump retweeted a theory that claimed Epstein was killed because he had dirt on former President Bill Clinton. The retweet was befuddling for a number of reasons, including the fact that Trump has known, documented ties to the wealthy financier, who was accused of running a sex trafficking ring with underage girls in the 2000s, as well.
While Giuliani may be urging caution this time around, he often doesn’t back down from bear-hugging some of the most out-there conspiracies, evidenced by his belief that social media companies are bias against conservatives, his theories on the “deep state” and the lengths he went to ask the Ukrainian government for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.
