Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that he is at least temporarily shelving the planned counter-report to special counsel Robert Mueller’s findings, choosing instead to address specific incidents surfaced by the media.

According to a Monday Bloomberg report, Giuliani said that there were “numerous areas that were mischaracterized and some where it is flat-out false” but declined to give specifics as it’s “hard to digest all at once.”

It is still unclear why the Trump administration held back the counter-report, which was months in the making, in the immediate aftermath of the redacted Mueller report’s release.

Giuliani has been spending his time counterpunching against the testimony of former White House counsel Don McGahn, who has earned the ire of President Donald Trump and his allies. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) issued a subpoena for McGahn to testify on May 21.
