President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani was quick to dismiss reports that members of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team are displeased with the attorney general’s assessment of their two-year-long investigation in President Trump’s campaign and Russian interference.

During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, who also laughed off the new developments as nothing more than a politically motivated leak, Giuliani said the information was just coming from “disgruntled” staffers, “rabid Democrats who hate the President of the United States.”

“They’re a bunch, unethical leakers and they are rabid Democrats who hate the President of the United States and I can’t tell you how much false information they leaked during the course of the investigation,” he said. “How many people were going to be indicted that didn’t get indicted? How many blockbusters were there? Starting with Papadopoulos and ending with Cohen, who turned out to be a serial liar. How could you have any confidence in this?”

The New York Times and The Washington Post reported on Wednesday evening that members of Mueller’s team of prosecutors have characterized Attorney General William Barr’s assessment of the Mueller report as inadequate. They claim their evidence paints a far more damaging portrait of Trump’s actions that Barr illustrated in his review.

“I am absolutely confident that the report will bear out the conclusions,” Giuliani continued. “The conclusions: no obstruction, no Russian collusion of any kind. It will bear that out.”
