Fox News host Steve Hilton urged President Trump to fire Rudy Giuliani in light of a New York Times report last week that reported that Giuliani came close to securing a lucrative deal to represent Ukraine while searching for dirt on the President’s political rivals.

“It turns out that the former mayor’s own personal business interests are wrapped up in all of this. To put it simply he’s been trying to enrich himself on the back of his relationship with President Trump,” Hilton said during his show on Sunday night.

Hilton then said that he is “just fed up with the lot of them” and that Giuliani has become an “unethical disaster.”

“Rudy Giuliani was a great mayor and a great leader, but he’s turned into an unmitigated and now it seems unethical disaster,” Hilton said. “While President Trump has been trying to govern for the American people, all these hangers-on have been trying to make money for themselves off Trump.”

Hilton went on to rail against Giuliani and his allies who are “taking advantage of the President to do dodgy deals in the world’s shadiest places” before urging Trump to “dump these toxic chumps.”

“Before they completely derail this presidency and it’s substantive, historic policy results on China, the economy and much more, it’s time to dump these toxic chumps,” Hilton said. “I think they really led President Trump astray and I’m fed up with it.”

Giuliani responded to Hilton’s remarks the morning after, saying that he is “outraged” and that lawyers have told him to “sue him for libel” for how Hilton “recklessly disregarded the truth.”
