White House counselor Kellyanne Conway received mild pushback from a Fox News host on Thursday morning when she claimed the “whole world” knows exactly what was said during President Trump’s call with the president of Ukraine.
While Conway attempted to list out all the items that she believes weren’t included on the Ukraine call — like “any mention of 2020,” and “any mention of aid held up” or “any of the eight quid pro quos promised to Nancy Pelosi” — Fox News Brian Kilmeade pushed back.
“The lieutenant colonel said the transcript wasn’t accurate,” Kilmeade said, referencing Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s testimony before lawmakers this week. “He wanted to add things in that he remembered and they wouldn’t let him.”
“Well we respectfully disagree with that,” Conway said. “Just for the record, I would never besmirch or denigrate a lieutenant colonel, but we respectfully disagree with his — and question his patriotism, but we respectfully disagree with his characterization and we will have our say when this president actually has his due process.”

The assertion that she would never “besmirch or denigrate” Vindman is notable, given Fox News hosts faced widespread blowback after the network ran segments questioning Vindman’s patriotism ahead of his congressional testimony.
The White House has maintained that it released a full transcript of the call, despite the fact that the document itself confirms that the record is just the White House’s version of the call and not a word-for-word transcript.
