Fox News abruptly cut away from the Trump campaign’s press conference led by White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, which was another effort to wage more of its bogus election fraud claims, on Monday afternoon.
Claiming to speak in a “personal capacity” for the Trump campaign, the White House official began her remarks by attacking Democrats by baselessly claiming that the party opposed an “honest election” amid the President’s refusal to concede his loss to President-elect Joe Biden.
As soon as McEnany said that the Trump campaign wants “maximum transparency” by demanding that “every legal vote to be counted,” Fox News cut out once it became clear that the White House press secretary was launching into a baseless rant on “illegal voting.”
Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto clearly wasn’t buying into McEnany boosting Trumpworld’s baseless election fraud claims.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, I just think we have to be very clear: she’s charging the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting,” Cavuto said. “Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue showing this.”
Cavuto reiterated that he wants to “make sure that maybe they do have something back that up,” but fired back at McEnany’s “explosive charge to make at the other side is effectively rigging and cheating.”
“If she does bring proof of that, we will take you back. So far, she had started saying that, right at the outset, ‘welcoming fraud, welcoming illegal voting,'” Cavuto said, before exasperatedly adding “not so fast.”

The President’s relationship with his on-and-off favorite network hit a crescendo last week on election night, when Fox News was the first network to project that Biden had won Arizona with 73 percent of the projected vote counted by 11:20 p.m. ET. According to the Washington Post, Fox News’ projection of Biden taking Arizona brought Trump campaign’s election night party to a halt.
A senior administration official told the Post that Trump angrily demanded that campaign officials “get that result changed.”
